The Winter Warm Up Request-A-Thon benefiting Dollar Energy Fund is a two-day, radio-based fundraiser hosted by 94.5 3WS that aims to raise funds and awareness for families in need of utility assistance this winter.
The concept is simple: make a donation to Dollar Energy Fund, request a song and listen to 94.5 3WS. Whether it is your all-time favorite song, one that sparks a high school memory, the melody that reminds you of a close friend, or a song so ridiculous that you think we won’t play it—go ahead and make your request! Every effort will be made to play your song during the event, but higher donation amounts will increase your chances of hearing your song in its entirety. A variety of donation incentives will be available during the event, so make sure you listen for your shot at gift certificates, tickets, and more!
Donations can be made by calling our Warm Up Request-A-Thon call center at 1-800-823-WARM. Our volunteers are available from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on November 8 and 9 to accept your contribution by credit card and record your song request. You can also submit your donation and song request online before and during the event.
All donations will be matched dollar-for-dollar by our utility partners, which makes your gift go twice as far in helping those in our region who are in need of utility assistance this winter.
A donation of $180, made in installments of $15/month or with a one-time donation, will make you a Neighborhood Hero! A $180 donation becomes $360 in assistance once matched by our utility partners. This amount is equal to Dollar Energy Fund’s average winter heating season grant amount and is enough to keep the utility service on for a household in need during the winter. Your support at this level makes you eligible for specific donation incentives and your song request will jump to the top of our list. Listen to 94.5 3WS during the event for details.
