Since 2018, the Hardship Grant has distributed more than $350,000 and helped over 1,370 Pittsburgh households maintain essential water services.
The Hardship Grant provides cash assistance for customers that are at or below 150% of the federal poverty level. This means that a family of four making $45,000 would qualify.
Consider a pledge to help meet the average need. The average Hardship Grant is $250.
Currently, all donations with the exception of those earmarked for our utility partners in Nebraska and our partnership with AlexRenew will automatically be matched dollar for dollar.
All donations are used to help families in your community maintain or restore basic utility services.
