The Special Reduced Rate Service Program (SRRS) was established by West Virginia state government to assist eligible participants in receiving a 20 percent discount from their utility company.
Eligibility
In order to qualify for the SRRS program, applicants must be:
- A recipient of SSI, WV WORKS, or receive Food Stamps, and be 60 years of age or older
- A participant in the above programs during November, December, January, February, and March to receive discount for that month.
How to Apply
SRRS applications are mailed in October of each year to those utility customers whom the Department of Health and Human Resources believes to be eligible.
