Five winners of Dollar Energy Fund’s Fan Appreciation Night raffle each received a pair of tickets to watch the final regular season home game of the Pittsburgh Penguins from the Sauza Tequila Party Suite at CONSOL Energy Center. Fifteen minutes before the puck dropped, our finalists were given an opportunity to win an exclusive spot on the ice during the Penguins’ annual Shirts Off Our Backs promotion, where players give fans autographed, game-worn jerseys.
Our five finalists, drawn at random from the pool of entries, included Ray Smith, Sean Kyler, T.J. Murrin, Jon Herrmann and Tom Decker. Each winner selected a Penguins Prize Pack gift bag. The bags contained either one non-autographed puck or one of four pucks autographed by players. The person who received the non-autographed puck was our grand prize winner and was able to join the Shirts Off Our Backs selection process. Dollar Energy Fund’s grand prize winner was Jon Herrmann and, through Shirts Off Our Backs, received Beau Bennett’s game-worn jersey. Congrats, Jon!
Thank you to all of the Penguins fans who purchased raffle tickets at CONSOL Energy Center during the month of March! Each ticket resulted in a $5 donation for Dollar Energy Fund and all proceeds will be used to help our neighbors in need maintain basic utility service.
