Metropolitan Utilities District (M.U.D.) and Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) are teaming up to host the annual Heat the Streets Run & Walk for Warmth campaign to benefit customers in need. Funds raised are administered by Dollar Energy Fund, a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to improve the quality of life for households experiencing hardships by providing utility assistance. This event plays an important role in our community, and we need your help!
Thousands of our neighbors are forced to make difficult decisions about where their money goes – food, medicine or heating and cooling their homes. That is why the Heat the Streets Run & Walk for Warmth is so important – it raises money and awareness for those in need of utility assistance.
The success of our utility assistance programs depends on the generosity of individual donations and sponsorships. Dollar Energy Fund recognizes the important role local non-profit agencies play in providing case management and support services to those in need. These organizations access program funding to assist M.U.D. and OPPD customers keeping their homes warm, water running and power on.
All money raised through the Heat the Streets Run & Walk for Warmth campaign is distributed through this local network to assist customers in need. We would be honored to have your support for our milestone campaign in 2024!
