Utility Partners

Our utility partners recognize the importance of helping the community and play an integral role in Dollar Energy Fund’s ability to provide assistance grants to those in need. Our Hardship Program partners use shareholder funds to provide a dollar-for-dollar match for every donation Dollar Energy Fund receives. Additionally, these companies make a contribution, over and above the shareholder donations, to support our administrative costs. This unique model maximizes our ability to assist limited-income families. Our organization began in 1983 with three partners and has grown to include the following utility companies:

  • AEP Ohio
  • Allegheny County Sanitary Authority
  • Appalachian Power (TN & VA)
  • California Water Service Company
  • Citizen’s Electric Company
