Dollar Energy Fund hosted a November Business social Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015 at the Vibe inside the Meadows Racetrack and Casino. From 6 to 8 p.m., many of Pittsburgh’s business owners, executives and professionals gathered to mingle and learn about Dollar Energy Fund’s upcoming fundraisers.

The Meadows provided an excellent spread of passed and stationary hors d’oeuvres and complimentary valet parking, while Dollar Energy Fund hosted an open bar. Guests brought co-workers and friends along for the evening so that they could learn about Dollar Energy Fund’s mission.

During the event, Chad Quinn, CEO of Dollar Energy Fund, shared a video about the struggles our limited-income neighbors face each winter. Event attendees were moved by the video’s real portrayal of many families who will go without safe utility service during the cold months. Many individuals or families must make difficult choices between food, vital medications or heat. The sobering message was lifted with an opportunity to help.

Dollar Energy Fund produced and shared a second video about our upcoming Cool Down for Warmth. The second annual fundraiser will be even bigger than last year’s, and we hope that everyone who attended will consider participating in the unique January fundraiser.

Thank you to all who attended. We hope to see you this winter in the ice house!
