Dollar Energy Fund is pleased to introduce Marty Griffin as our 34th Annual Luncheon keynote speaker. Marty is an investigative reporter for KDKA-TV and the host of The Inside Story with Marty Griffin on NewsRadio 1020 KDKA.
A native of Shadyside, Marty received a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from Ohio University and began working as a journalist in Wichita Falls, Texas. He has been with KDKA since he returned to Pittsburgh in 2003.
Marty has won many awards for reporting and investigative journalism. He is a past recipient of three prestigious Regional Emmys for Outstanding Investigative Reporting. He has also won a Broadcast Achievement Award for an Investigative Series on a Probe of the Dallas Cowboys and Michael Irvin from The Heartland Foundation of Texas. He was named the Best Talk Show Host in Pittsburgh in 2008 for the Pittsburgh Achievement in Radio Awards.
Marty has been carrying the torch for consumers in the Pittsburgh area for several years. He has worked directly with the underserved community to give them a voice and find answers to their problems. He brings passion, energy and emotion into his work to motivate and inspire others.
He and his wife Kristine Sorensen, KDKA-TV anchor and host of “Pittsburgh Today Live”, reside in Mt. Lebanon with their three children.

We look forward to hosting our Annual Luncheon on September 8th and celebrating this year’s achievements with our supporters and partners. This year’s event will be held in the Grand Ballroom at the Rivers Casino, located on the North Shore of Pittsburgh. Parking is free.
