June 22nd, 2016
Dollar Energy Fund will attend Hearth & Home Furnishing’s EggFest at Moraine State Park this Saturday, June 25, 2016. We proudly support Hearth & Home Furnishing and partner with them for their Warm Your Hearth, Touch a Heart campaign, which assists us in keeping local families warm during the winter months. Once again, Dollar Energy Fund will be the grateful recipient of the EggFest’s raffle proceeds.
Hearth & Home Furnishings is hosting its eighth annual EggFest from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Each year they set up 20 – 25 Big Green Egg grills for live cooking demonstrations and informal tastings. Big Green Egg enthusiasts and cooks from all backgrounds will show off their skills by preparing a variety of food throughout the day. “Tasters” have the opportunity to walk around and enjoy the great selection of fresh-off-the-grill food.
EggFests are held all over the United States and Canada for fellow Egg-Heads to flaunt their cooking skills on the Big Green Egg. The Big Green Eggs that are used to cook on the day of the event are available for pre-sale at a discounted price. These are first come, first served and only a limited number are available.
Hearth & Home Furnishings, which stocks and sells the Big Green Eggs out of its Zelienople showroom, will hold a raffle for a large Big Green Egg grill and metal table ($2,472 value) at the event, and then donate all proceeds to Dollar Energy Fund. Peoples Natural Gas and Peoples TWP generously agreed to match the proceeds dollar-for-dollar to help as many limited-income families as possible. Last year, with the help of Hearth & Home and Peoples, Dollar Energy Fund received $2,600 from the event, which helped approximately eight local families restore or maintain safe utility service.
Last year’s event was sold out, so hurry up and buy your tickets today! Bring the family and come enjoy a great time at the beautiful Moraine State Park. Click here for more information and to register for the event.
Your contribution directly supports an individual or family facing a utility crisis.
