Pittsburgh Penguins Partnership Recap: Supporting Neighbors in Need

Dollar Energy Fund was proud to partner once again with the Pittsburgh Penguins this season to create meaningful fan experiences while raising funds for families in need of utility assistance. Through two signature initiatives, Jerseys for Warmth and the Fan Appreciation Night Raffle, Penguins fans showed up big to help their neighbors.

Jerseys for Warmth Auction

This season’s Jerseys for Warmth Charitable Auction raised $69,464 in utility assistance, including a match from our generous utility partners, enough to support nearly 200 additional households across our region.

The online auction featured a collection of Pittsburgh Penguins game-worn jerseys, each autographed and authenticated with a commemorative patch. These one-of-a-kind pieces gave fans the opportunity to own a part of the game while directly supporting households facing utility hardship.

Fan Appreciation Night Raffle

The excitement continued with our Fan Appreciation Night Raffle, which gave fans the chance to support their neighbors while enjoying a unique Penguins experience.

Five finalists were selected to receive two tickets to a party suite for the Pittsburgh Penguins game on Saturday, April 11, 2026. During the experience, each finalist participated in a special puck draw.

Congratulations to our grand prize winner, Brad Lehocky, who received an autographed, game-worn jersey from Connor Clifton. The remaining finalists each took home autographed Penguins pucks, making it a great night for everyone involved.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, the raffle raised $9,010 in utility assistance, including a match from our utility partners, helping approximately 25 additional households in our region.

A Season of Impact

Together, these initiatives raised $78,474 in utility assistance, including matching support, helping approximately 218 households maintain or restore essential utility service.
