9th Annual Warm Your Hearth, Touch a Heart Campaign

Hearth & Home Furnishings and Peoples are teaming up for the 9th Annual Warm Your Hearth, Touch a Heart Campaign to help local, limited-income households maintain or restore basic gas utility service. The kick-off reception will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Hearth & Home Furnishings Showroom in Zelienople.

Following the reception, Hearth & Home Furnishings will donate a portion of their sales to Dollar Energy Fund’s Hardship Program, which provides one-time utility assistance grants to families facing a utility crisis. Peoples will match the donation and all funds will be used to help limited-income families in Southwestern Pennsylvania stay warm this winter.

Tickets to the kick-off reception are $25 each, with $20 per ticket being donated directly to Dollar Energy Fund. The evening will include food, beverages, music, raffles, and a silent auction. For ticket information, please call 724-452-6732.

The Warm Your Hearth, Touch a Heart Campaign has provided more than $130,000 in utility assistance to local households over the past eight years. This amount of funding allowed for approximately 370 local, limited-income families to maintain or restore their basic gas utility service.

Direct donations to the Warm Your Hearth, Touch a Heart Campaign can be made online at www.dollarenergy.org (select “Warm Your Hearth, Touch a Heart Campaign” as the donation designation) or by sending a check to Box 42329, Pittsburgh, PA 15203. Contributions can also be made by adding one dollar or more to your monthly Peoples bill. All donations are tax deductible and will receive a dollar-for-dollar match.
