The 4th annual Cool Down for Warmth event will be held on Thursday and Friday this week (January 25 & 26) in Market Square. Join us in our effort to help local families who are struggling to afford basic heat-related utility service.
Thursday: 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Friday: 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.
A massive 800-square-foot ice house will be constructed in Market Square, featuring a garage, living room, kitchen and bathroom. Everyone is welcome to tour the ice house. Many community leaders and supporters will sit inside the ice house to reach their fundraising goal and raise awareness for the thousands of Pittsburgh families that entered the winter season without heat-related utility service. They are counting on you to contribute and help them “feel the warmth”!
Friday: 8:30 a.m.
Pitt Athletics will be chillin’ in Market Square on Friday morning. Meet the players as they pass out free tickets to the Pitt vs. Louisville men’s basketball game on February 11.
Thursday & Friday: 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. | Free hot coffee!
Thursday & Friday: 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. | Free iced coffee!
Gather your friends and join us in Market Square to receive a coupon for a free Dunkin’ Donuts coffee!
Thursday & Friday: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Local restaurants will participate in a soup challenge, serving cups of soup to the lunchtime crowd in Market Square. Tickets will be sold for $10 and attendees get to sample four soups from their choice of over a dozen participating vendors, then vote for their favorite!
Thursday & Friday: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
