Pennsylvania assistance year to date

Our program year is flying by – but that hasn’t stopped Dollar Energy Fund from making a significant impact on Pennsylvania families struggling with utility payments.

Here are Pennsylvania’s program statistics since October 1, 2015:

• 10,957 applications processed
• 9,523 grants totaling $3,450,050
• Of those 9,523 grants, 6,327 had a termination notice and 1,748 needed their service restored
• Average grant amount = $314.87
• 86.9% of those who applied for a grant received one

And that doesn’t include the other 10 states that we currently serve!

Did you know that the majority of grants given out are to people who are employed and just having a hard time? Although our efforts are making an impact, many of your neighbors are still struggling to afford the cost of basic gas, water and electric service.
