Watch: Neighbors in need receive help

Through the generous support of our donors, utility partners and community agencies, Dollar Energy provided millions of dollars in grants to families and individuals in need last year. Take a look at the video above to learn about the families and individuals who will struggle to keep their lights and heat on during the cold months ahead.

These families, most of whom are either working, are disabled or are retired, want the same things that we all do: a warm place to sleep, food for their children and medication to survive illness.

Unfortunately, an unexpected job loss or  medical emergency can force families, even those from the middle class, to make difficult choices between heating their home or putting food on the table.
